Get to Know Trust Auto Repair in McKinney, TX

At Trust Auto Repair, our name says it all—we aspire to earn your trust by exceeding your expectations for automotive service. But, of course, there’s more to the story… Owner Michael Laier has over 40 years of auto repair experience, starting in high school and continuing through college, where he studied automotive technology, and then working in dealerships. During his early automotive career and training, he gained useful experience on both the front and backend as a service writer and lead auto technician, while also serving an apprenticeship and becoming a licensed journeyman mechanic.

However, over the years, Michael found it increasingly difficult to do what was right for his customers while being told to upsell automotive services. He became convinced that with his own auto repair shop he could serve his customers’ best interests and still run a successful and profitable business. Turns out he was right…

“I opened my own auto repair shop to provide an honest place for drivers to get their vehicles repaired and serviced with less stress and hassle.”

- Michael Laier, Owner

Trust Auto Repair – Phase 1

Starting in 1991, Michael ran a thriving auto repair shop for 22 years in California, built on earning people’s trust through honesty and quality work—just like he imagined. But after several vacations to McKinney, TX, where he had made many friends, he realized he’d fallen in love with the city, so he decided to sell his shop and move to his newfound home. And with that big step, the next chapter for Michael and Trust Auto Repair began in 2013.
